MX vs ATV Untamed
This PSP entry featured multiple racing disciplines like Supercross, Endurocross, and Freestyle, plus 24 vehicles including monster trucks and trophy trucks. It supported ad-hoc multiplayer for up to 4 players and had massive open environments for free riding2.
NFS UNDERGROUND RIVALS
The first NFS title for PSP, it was a spin-off of Underground 1 & 2, featuring night-only races, no free roam, and a unique upgrade points system for tuning. It included muscle cars like the ’69 Dodge Charger and had exclusive PSP-only game modes like Rally Relay and Nitrous Run.
StateShift
A futuristic combat racer where vehicles could morph into different states like Dragster or Defender, each with unique abilities. Released in 2009, it was download-only in North America and featured 9 tournaments and head-to-head multiplayer. While not a critical darling, it stood out for its transforming mechanics.
ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin’ Trails
A PSP adaptation of the PS2 series, it featured 30+ environments, 6 terrain types, and 24 ATVs. It supported online infrastructure mode, a rarity for PSP racers, and included Waypoint Editor, Ghost Data, and custom rider gear. It was one of the first PSP games with online play
MotoGP
Based on the 2005 MotoGP season, with 2006 content added in the EU release. It featured Arcade, Time Trial, One-on-One, and Season modes, plus multiplayer. Developed by Namco Bandai, it was the last MotoGP game under their license, and praised for its realistic handling and rider roster.
